Wacom tablet for sale!

I've finally decided to upgrade my tablet! I held off for as long as I did because I didn't see how having a newer tablet would improve the quality of my work. But now I've reconsidered and I'm offering up my current tablet for sale.

This tablet is a Wacom Intuos2 6x8". Click here for a product description and picture on amazon. I recently replaced the plastic overlay on top so it's almost like new! It comes with its pen, penstand, cordless mouse, spare nibs, spare felt pen barrel, spare pen button and a CD with the tablet driver and serial number. (The latest drivers can be downloaded at wacom.com)

It's a great product. All of my digital art was made with it and it works as well as the day I got it! It's not too large, while still being larger than small-sized tablets and it could go well with a laptop. It was top of the line in its day and it's still far superior to the Graphire/Bamboo.

I'm asking $90. With packaging and shipping figured in it will probably be more like $100-$110. If you're interested send me an email: andreakoupal (at) gmail (dot) com. [info]eto, I remember you saying you were interested but I don't see you on aim right now to ask you, so let me know!

If more than one person is interested I'm going to give it to whomever offers me more.

Oh man it's been a rough week.

I started a new job which is definitely the good news. About halfway into the week I came down with a really bad head cold which pretty much took away my voice. It didn't develop into something worse, for which I am grateful, but I wasn't feeling my best. The thing I mentioned that I was really excited about didn't end up going through for me which I am trying very hard not to be bummed about right now.

Nobuo Uematsu is going to be on the Digipen Campus at 2pm tomorrow (Saturday). Apparently his Final Fantasy: Distant Worlds symphony is playing in Seattle and he was invited to talk at Digipen! That's pretty cool. Haha, I wonder if my coworker will get his autograph like he was saying.

I guess for now I'll work on my half of [info]sheepyrai's and my art trade, I kind of want to get it done this weekend.

I had a lovely time hanging out with Allison today. We hiked around and watched vampire movies that were actually pretty darn entertaining!
Here's a video I shot of my budgies. The green one is Cricket, blue is Snowflake. I apologize for the blurriness. The noises in the background are Mega Man 9 being played.

Oh, I should probably state this for the record: I apologize if anyone is ever offended by the content of my journal. Nothing I write is ever meant to be taken personally. I'm an honest person and I know some people have trouble with that. But I'm also friendly and I pretty much like everybody so you know if I say something, it's never personal with me.

Though if you don't like my opinion, then... I'm not sure what you're doing here. *lol*

Shiro's commission is done!

Good, I was aiming to get this finished today! I have something major happening this week (something awesome) which I'll talk about if it goes through for me.

This was pretty cool.

Okay. Back to work for me.

So, I made a lovely new friend the other day. (Actually she approached me, which I found very flattering.)

I predict a high degree of art-related awesome is going to come of this... UNION.

Thank you [info]vikingcarrot for apparently saying nice things about me. I wasn't aware of that.

If you're on Twitter, set your location to Tehran & your time zone to GMT +3.30. Iranian security forces are hunting for bloggers using location/timezone searches. The more people at this location, the more of a logjam it creates for forces trying to shut down Iranians' access to the internet. Cut & paste & pass it on.

It's not aimed at anyone in particular and it's not anything actually important, but this is something I've noticed for years and it drives me a little nuts.

Amazing artists who constantly put their work down. )

Arthur and Lucrecia, by alexds1 Some of you have seen this already, but it turned out so beautiful I thought I'd share it here too. Arthur is Sarah's and Lucrecia is mine. Durr hurr. :B

Faerie Devil Widdershins

I actually really like devil and succubus characters. I hope people like the art, I know it's kind of an unusual design but, I'm fond of these creature-ly sorts.

I loved this fan trailer. Labyrinth 2: Return of the Goblin King

"The problem with Live Journal is that we all think we are so close, but really, we know nothing about each other. Hence, I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don’t know about you."

Ask me whatever you'd like to know and I'll answer! :D (Unless I find it inappropriately personal but I trust you guys.)

I originally made these to sell at Aki Con, but since that's months away yet and I've been giving them away as gifts to friends and family anyway, I decided I'd post up the rest of them here in the event anyone might like them! They are very pretty in person and the magnets are super strong. If interested comment specifying which one(s) you want and I'll reply back the total to send over paypal.

I had a lovely day yesterday with Marlon. We decided to wander the Seattle Arboretum again since the weather was perfect, about 70 degrees without a cloud in the sky. (We might do Snoqualmie Falls again, that's also a good spot.) Tons of blooming flowers: Rhodies, azalea, wisteria, lilacs, lovely big old Northwestern trees coated with moss and lichens, which cast these great blue dappled shadows. Then we headed into Bellevue to try a conveyor sushi place a friend recommended that we hadn't been to before. I have to say I liked it more than the usual place we go to (the one in Redmond), more variety and a little nicer overall.

We were going to browse Anime Kingdom but we got there too late. Which was fine, I wouldn't have bought anything anyway. Fun store, that. Then we went back to my place and watched Wall-E and played the old NES standbys on the Wii (tonight was Bubble Bobble, lately we've been playing either that, River City Ransom or Mega Man 9.)

I think people who complain about Seattle take for granted how good they have it here. Having lived in New Jersey, South Carolina and visited several other states in the Northeast, Midwest and South, this is my preference without contest. Housing is generally expensive but that's to be expected in a metropolitan area (and it's not nearly so bad as in New Jersey, which also has about three times the traffic).

Today is an art day and so I'm going to spend the rest of it working. And watching Metalocalypse.

I also have one matted, bagged 8.5x11" print of Footprints on the Beach. That one is $10 plus $4 shipping/paypal fees.

This will only really be interesting if you played/were a fan of Final Fantasy VI. For me it's a very nostalgic game so I thought it was neat.
